HKL began its operation in 1870 and caters to thousands of patients every day. With the increase in the number of patients and parking woes, the construction which target to be completed by third quarter of 2022 will make HKL into a premiere hospital.
Johawaki Construction Sdn Bhd was awarded by Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (Cawangan Kesihatan) to design and build the Operation Theatre (OT), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and additional wards at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) in 2018.
